BUNGLE BUNGLES PLUS GROUND TOUR FULL DAY Ex Halls Creek

- Your morning flight takes off out of Halls Creek and turns northeast and after a short time crosses the Ord River while descending to enter the aerial circuit of the Purnululu National Park. You will notice the contrast between the sandstone cliffs to the west and beehive-shaped domes rising to the east. 

- On completing the circuit, the flight descends to join other visitors to the National Park and Bellburn Camp airstrip where you will be welcomed by Kingfisher Tours Gija guides, the traditional custodians of this land. 

- Share fresh damper, bush honey and tea or coffee before embarking on your ground tour adventure. 

- Head off to the northern end of teh park by 4wd to explore Echidna Chasm. A short 2km return walk will take you through steep-sided gorge walls up to 200 metres high. 

- Drive to the southern end where your 3km return trek to Cathedral Gorge begins, and hear cultural storytelling and insights into the region's heritage, local flora and fauna. Experience the acoustic magnifence of Cathedral Gorge amphitheatre with cultural singing. Relax and enjoy lunch while soaking up the ambience and serenity. 

*The Cathedral Gorge walking track is appropriate for people with a low to moderate level of fit-ness. Comfortable walking shoes are required due to the sand and uneven terrain.

- Upon leaving the Bungles, your flight crosses the 3 rivers - Elvire, Panton and Ord, which join up to feed Lake Argyle and tracks along the Albert Edward and Elvire range before turning westward. 

- Before descending into Halls Creek you'll see Caroline Springs, Osmond Valley and China Wall - a lengthy, exposed quartz vein that seemingly divides old and Present day Halls Creek townships.
